Ilmor is seeking a warranty resolution engineer for the Marine Engineering Team. The individual will be responsible for developing a best practice warranty management process to lead warranty resolution, identify tends, and support field visits as well as represent the marine engineering team to the customer base.

This Marine Service Engineer position will be the point person addressing reoccurring warranty issues as they are identified in the field including addressing quality issues with proper definition of root cause and validation.

Responsibilities include understanding the Ilmor warranty agreements and requirements with customers and analyzing warranty data. Additional duties will include tracking and resolving critical issues that arise with existing product currently manufactured at our Mooresville, NC or Plymouth, MI facility.

•Respond to reoccurring field issues via engineering root cause analysis.
•Real time monitoring of trending service issues
•Lead internal or external suppliers to resolve production/product issues
•Lead product quality issue resolution with customers. This may require on-site resolution with the customer.
•Develop and implement validation test plans for service fixes.
•Ensure accuracy of service manuals and documentation from an engineering standpoint
•This job will be based out of Plymouth,MI with expected travel to be roughly 35%
•Work with a cross-functional business unit team including quality, manufacturing, sales and engineering to improve production, design and engineering aspects of the product.
Mechanical or Electrical engineering degree
•Proficient in CAD (specifically SolidWorks)
•Practical engine knowledge
•Practical boating experience and an understanding of boat rigging
•Proficient with computers and Microsoft applications
•Must be data driven and capable of processing large amounts of data
•Data acquisition experience and post processing
•Must be a team player
•Must show evidence of the use of innovative solutions
•Must be hands-on

Calibration experience preferred but not required
